"Music Heals Live!" Event Raises Significant Funds for Musicians on Call
Country music luminaries Reba McEntire, Wynonna, Vince Gill, and rising star Belle Frantz united for the "Music Heals Live!" event organized by Musicians on Call. The event successfully raised over $700,000, which will be dedicated to supporting the organization's various programs, including bedside performances, virtual sessions, songwriting initiatives, and streaming services. Held at Nashville's Pinnacle, the evening honored individuals who have contributed to the organization's mission for more than 25 years. Reba McEntire was presented with the Music Heals Golden Ukulele in recognition of her long-standing support for Musicians On Call. Mitch Glazier, chairman and CEO of the RIAA and Chairman Emeritus of the MOC Board of Directors, received the Leadership in Music Golden Ukulele, a surprise presentation by country music star Martina McBride. Glazier has been a pivotal force in the organization for over a decade, instrumental in launching MOC's Washington, D.C. program and securing millions in funding. In her acceptance speech, McEntire eloquently articulated music's profound ability to illuminate dark periods and instill hope. Sony Music Publishing has announced the promotion of ZaZa Kazadi to Senior Director of A&R for the U.K. & Europe. Kazadi will continue to operate from the company's London office. Since joining Sony Music Publishing in 2024, he has been instrumental in signing a diverse array of artists, including BRIT-winning rapper Dave, emerging talent EsDeeKid, Kidwild, Shallipopi, and Fimiguerrero, as well as producers such as AOD (known for his work with Tems and FKA Twigs) and Jo Caleb (who has worked with Dave and Asake). He also maintains close working relationships with notable artists and producers like Wizkid, Producer X, and Jester Beats.
